In 2015, he debuted his solo project Blanket Fort, performing at renowned venues such as "Fano Jazz By The Sea" and opening the Italian tour for Canadian songwriter Oldseed. A year later, he composed part of the original soundtrack for Wild Latitude, a documentary series produced by Tumulto Video and aired on Sky TV Italia.

Matthew's academic journey led him to Manchester, where he earned a First Class Degree in Creative Music Technologies from the University of Salford in 2019. During his studies, he gained hands-on experience with live and studio recording projects, collaborating with diverse artists and ensembles, including the BBC Philharmonic. He also composed the soundtrack for Is There Anybody There?, a theater production by award-winning director Jim Cartwright. After graduating, Matthew was selected for the New Creatives North commission, a project co-funded by BBC Arts and Arts Council England, where he explored binaural field recordings and synthesis to create an immersive ambient track. The track is called  Dive, and aired on BBC Radio 6.

In 2024, Matthew completed a Master's degree in Audiovisual Composition at Liceu Conservatori in Barcelona, where he deepened his expertise in creating immersive, thematic music for multimedia projects. His recent projects include the production, editing, and mixing of The Best Sea for Marta Del Grandi, released by the international label Fire Records. Matthew has also worked as the official sound engineer for Marta Del Grandi’s tours, supporting performances at internationally renowned festivals such as Ypsigrock, Locus, Spring Attitude, and many more. Currently based in the green Umbria, Matthew enjoys cycling, observing animals, and walking in the woods, which are only a few steps away from his home studio.
